Hello,
Thanks for your interest in
adopting an Ocicat.
We currently have between 1
and 2 litters per year.
Deposits
and Payments:
Most
kittens are spoken for even before they are born. Last year
there were less than 500 Ocicats registered with the CFA. So
it is still one of the rarer breeds. To reserve a kitten we
require a deposit. We accept personal checks for the initial
deposit as long as it is a minimum of 30 days prior to pick
up. Your final payment is due on pick up and must be paid in
cash.
Those who place deposits in advance will receive a
notification that the litter has been born and the
photographs and price for each kitten. At that point the
person who places the first deposit gets to take their pick
of the litter, then the person with the second deposit picks
next, and so on. If there are any remaining kittens, after
the kittens have been selected by people with deposits, I
send out an email to the individuals on our email list. If
you are interested in placing a deposit please let me know.
Our kittens are handled
from birth and are extremely friendly. They also get along
well with other cats and friendly dogs. Kittens are usually
ready to go to their new homes between 12 and 14 weeks of
age. All kittens are from Champion blood lines, and have
their first set of shots. Also all kittens come with an
agreement that they will be altered, no declawing, housed
indoor, and return to us if you can no longer care for.
The possible kitten colors
are: Ebony Silver (black spots with a white undercoat),
Tawny (black spots with a tan undercoat), Chocolate Silver
(brown spots with a white undercoat), Cinnamon Silver
(reddish brown spots with a white undercoat), & Chocolate
(brown spots with a tan undercoat). To see examples of these
coat colors click on the Coat Color link on the left hand
side of our website.
If you are interested in
placing an advance deposit or if you have any questions
about our kittens please feel free to call or email any
time. Also I would be happy to keep you on our email list
and send you information on kittens as they become
available.
Best Regards,
